Membership Information

ISGS membership 2012

  • Regular members receive paper copies and electronic access to the journal Gesture.
  • Student members can choose whether or not they subscribe to the journal.
  • The membership fee is set in Euro as the subscription rate is set in Euro.
  • EU residents need to pay 6% value-added tax for the journal subscription.

Regular members                  outside EU: EUR 80 ($106)                      within EU: EUR 84.80 ($110)
Students (with journal)          outside EU: EUR 60 ($80)                        within EU: EUR 63.60 ($84)
Students (without journal)                          EUR 18 ($24)

Of membership fees that include the journal subscription, 50 Euro goes to John Benjamins for the subscription, and the rest will be the revenue for ISGS.

  • Inclusion in a world-wide network of gesture researcher
  • Email alerts on "gesture in news" (media coverage of gesture research).
  • Email alerts (every four months) for journal articles about gesture (created on the basis of Web of Science searches)
  • Downloadable bibliographic database that compiles the content of the above email alerts (for Endnote and Reference Manager).
  • 30% discount on fees for ISGS conferences

 

Important information

Membership is by the calendar year. All memberships expire at the end of December, regardless of when a member joined the society.
